Whenever I hear someone say, “I’m so jealous that you get to travel to _____,”
I always have mixed feelings.
Becausewhen you say you’re jealous of me, I’m sure there are things about your life that I could be jealous of too.
Traveling to different countries may seem enviable,
but
a settled life is enviable too.
So is a steady income.
A job title that keeps getting better might be enviable too.
And not having to worry about tens of thousands suddenly disappearing from your bank account is definitely enviable.
Either way, it’s simply a choice—
a choice about how to live your life,
a choice shaped by what you value.
Whichever you choose, there’s no right or wrong—so there’s no need for envy either.
“I’m so jealous that you get to travel to _____.”
“You can too!” is what I always say.
So here I am, sharing the life I’ve chosen. Maybe one day, you’ll make the choice you truly want too 🙂
