You can’t visit Guam without experiencing its ocean! Before the trip, I knew I wanted to try either scuba diving or snorkeling there—to see what it felt like to be surrounded by schools of fish. In the end, I settled on the second scuba dive of my life. It cost about the same as my first dive at Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, so it was pretty good value and definitely worth trying. BUT! This article isn’t merely an introduction to scuba diving in Guam. More importantly, I’m starring in my very own cautionary tale to tell you this: whenever and wherever in the world you go scuba diving, if you plan to buy photos to preserve those memories of gliding gracefully underwater, let this article serve as a warning.
