NZ Working Holiday Prep

This packing guide is mainly intended for trips lasting six months or longer, especially if you expect to move between several places. Although my New Zealand working holiday has only just begun, two hard-earned years on a working holiday in Australia—plus dozens of trips of all shapes and sizes since then—have trained me to pack up and run away from home at a moment’s notice. Through plenty of sore muscles, I’ve also gradually figured out what kind of luggage works best for me. So the belongings I brought on this New Zealand working holiday are essentially the distilled wisdom of all my years of travel experience. It’s the packing approach that suits me best at the moment. It may not work for everyone, but I’m sure there are still a few ideas worth sharing for you to use as a reference.
